Moneyssentials Workshops

A crash course in key money habits

Over a single day, this interactive session engages and inspires

The result? Kids leave with new habits geared to building a stronger financial future.

Money & Budgeting

What is money? It’s not as simple as you might think.

This session gets the students thinking about the concept of money and introduces some key tips for budgeting.

Goal Setting & Saving

What would you rather have, £10,000 every day for 30 days or 1p that doubles every day for that period?

In this session, we talk about the importance of having goals and saving early. We also introduce the concept of compound interest and types of financial assets.

Borrowing & Lending

Why borrow? What makes a good borrower?

We tackle the concepts behind lending money in this session. Students are put in the bank’s shoes and play a game of “Who would you lend to?”

The Entrepreneur

Ever wanted to be your own boss?

We discuss what makes a good entrepreneur and apply some of the previous learnings of the day. After, students devise and pitch their own business idea to a panel of judges. Winner gets £100,000…
