Guernsey

Who

In July 2017, RedSTART partnered with the President of the Committee for Employment and Social Security in Guernsey and Investec Bank to host Money Matters Sessions in Guernsey.

What

Two volunteers from RedSTART flew out to Guernsey to teach two hour Money Matters Sessions to four classes at the La Mare De Carteret and Notre Dame du Rosaire Primary Schools.

How was the experience?

Feedback from the 83 students taught on the day was very positive, with the majority of the students saying they had not only learned key financial skills but also had a lot of fun doing the sessions. Volunteers from Investec also mentioned that they enjoyed teaching on the day and look forward to seeing if they can host another day in the future.

“Hopefully it will help them understand the value of money and recognise what is a good investment and what is a scam.” Teacher Adam Harvey
